The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency reported it can be alarmed with regard to the large variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area each day. The support level developed for intervention experiences a high inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who stop by a here service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to allow the servicing of all customers and maximize use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
